Friday morning was design competition time. This week we had a class with Cecile about film, portfolios and how to kickstart our own projects with the help of video editing and film presentations.
We received a brief which we have to finish in 2 weeks: we need to create a “project” and make a short video/documentary to present it, in a kickstarter.com kind of style. I’m quite excited about this brief because I love mixing video editing and illustration, the outcomes are always very interactive and interesting for the viewer/client due to the motion clips. It makes the audience engage more with our project!
After the talk, we watched a movie by Aaron Rose entitled “Beautiful Losers”, a documentary about a group of artists and their life struggles. They talked about their childhoods and everything they’ve gone through in their artistic lives, and what made them going from losers to “beautiful losers”.
