Mood board – Breakfast Unscrambled

For our breakfast unscrambled brief, we were asked to make a mood board to express some ideas for our product. Mood boards or concept boards are often used by illustrators and designers to visually illustrate what “goes inside their minds” during the creative process.

Pinterest is a good platform to create digital mood boards and to show them to an audience.

In my mood board, I included the font that I used for my product’s logo, some pictures of my target audience (young families), ideas from already existing products and finally, a rough colour palette.

  1. This is a great start Marta. Your concept board needs to communicate your product idea more (not just the look) so include your five brand values and try to capture the story element of your product which is what makes it special and different. The sample type words are a bit distracting – is it possible to set your brand values in this type instead? Maybe show some affinity brands like Kinder egg for the idea of treat and surprise plus something more educational like a storybook set or some literacy games? You can add small annotations to add clarity if you need to. Good work, keep going!
