A crit with emily

Brands that connect themselves to a social cause are becoming more and more recognised for their social work but also for their products and services (obviously).

Today we had a group crit with out tutor Emily, where we had to talk about our final projects, whether they are independent or related to the studio’s practice. After hearing about everyone’s work, I have decided to continue with my original FMP idea but create my branding with a social cause involved.

Since Im designing stationery products (gift boxes souvenirs too) and my brand is based on scientific illustration, I thought of having some kind of interactive activity that the buyers could be involved in. Some kind of “seeds for life” packet could be included in the illustrative gift boxes, so when a customer buys it, they can plant a living being, whether they live in an apartment or have a garden.

Another idea I had was to use some of the profits from the brand to create gardens and parks in abandoned urban areas, bringing life to spaces that are not really used.
