Last year I starting to work on my visual identity as an illustrator. Among other things, I designed a logo that I was quite proud of for a few months but now that I’ve been working harder on turning my brand into something that is actually viable and professional, I realised that I had to definitely change it and make it better.
My old logo also has my name on it, something that I decided to change this year to “House of Illustrology” because I don’t want to be recognised by my name but by my brand’s name instead. I think the little beetles look rather awkward and I’ve been starting to think that a typographic logo would work better than a visual one. Therefore, this week I’ve been trying out some logos with different fonts:
I am most likely going to choose the top one even though I really like the bottom one, but that might be too “fancy” and detailed, and I want to keep things simple this time.
